Hello,
This week has passed quickly. The time
passes quickly when we have plans and things to do and slowly otherwise.
So we do our best to be busy. But, even so, sometimes all of our plans
fall through, and we find ourselves a little lost. However, that didn't
happen this week. Today we got haircuts. And here are some pictures.

Hello,
It's been a long week, but
here we are. How are you all? Busy? Ah. Que bueno. Entonces. Not much
has happened. We spent a lot of time walking in the hot sun.Sun, 21 Jul 2013

Hello,
It's been an uneventful week. We now have
more than two weeks without a working phone. We got completely soaking
wet twice this week. Several of our most promising investigators just
spontaneously disappeared without notice (we hope that they come back
and didn't move to another city or die or something). The family we live
with has asked us to move to a different room in their house. It's
smaller, doesn't have a/c, has fewer electrical outlets, and doesn't
have running water between 7 a.m. and 12 midnight (and sometimes not
even then). Also no closets or toilet seat. We've been moving our stuff
all day and it's not going to fit. That's about all that's been going
on. Espero que sepáis que estoy feliz en esta obra y que sé que es de
Dios. El Libro de Mormón es la palabra de Dios y tengo el privilegio de
testificar de ello en el mundo. Que estéis bien y contento. Voy orando
por vosotros.Tue, 09 Jul 2013

Hello,
¿Cómo estáis? Espero que bien sea la
respuesta. I've had an interesting week. Our cell phone stopped working
last week so we didn't get information about all of the transfers that
happened last week through normal or timely channels and we found
ourselves with many problems related to these and no way to communicate
with the mission. So we spent many hours in our chapel (there's a phone
there) this week. Some of the time we had investigators with us, but
mostly we were by ourselves. Yesterday we went to Villahermosa to leave
Elder López there. He has finished his two years of service and is now
at home. So Elder Hernández and I are alone now. But that's alright. We
had the chance to meet our new mission president, President Morales, on
Saturday. He served his mission in New York, New York and, among other
things, teaches English. So he's pretty bilingual. I'm looking forward
to serving with him. And, that same Saturday, I got a package with a
bunch of socks in it. Which is a really good thing because last Monday a
sudden storm blew my socks off the clothesline and I was unable to
locate all of them (it's a jungle). Without that package I wouldn't have
had socks to wear yesterday or today. So thank you. Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Hello,
Many things have happened this week. Our
mission president was released and went back to his house. We got a
third missionary (Elder Hernández from the Sunday Republic has two and a
half months in the mission, including time in the MTC). Our phone
stopped working (and still doesn't work) on Monday. And on Wednesday
night at about ten o'clock, we received notice that Elder Castillo had a
special transfer. So Elder Castillo went to a city called Minatitlán
and we got an elder from Mexico City named López (with 23 months in the
mission, he's going home on Monday). So I'm senior companion now with
all sorts of changes of grand magnitude (and a cellphone that still
doesn't work). And I'm having allergies that are making me sneeze and
sniffle un buen. But that's okay. The weather has been hot with
occasional rain that (sometimes) cools things down. I'm glad to hear
that you're all well and that you're enjoying your summer. I hope you're
not wasting too much time because you don't have school. And Mom, I
love hydroponics. Take care while driving,
